EHS Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented EHS Specialist to join our team at Proterra. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our employees and the sustainability of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Provide support to department managers and employees on EHS issues, including training and education.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs to ensure employee understanding and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, including inspections, audits, and training.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure EHS objectives are met.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in EHS regulations and best practices.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic understanding of EHS regulations and standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Preferred: Associate degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety.
