Join Our Team as a Laser Operator
Hughes Resources is looking for skilled individuals to become part of our dynamic manufacturing workforce as a Laser Operator. This role offers a pathway to a rewarding career with a comprehensive benefits package available after the probationary period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain effective communication with the plant management team.
- Execute laser operations in accordance with established protocols.
- Set up and manage a Mazak laser cutting machine.
- Assess material thickness using a steel gauge for job specifications.
- Accurately load and unload components that have undergone laser processing.
- Adhere to written guidelines, schedules, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure product quality.
- Identify and resolve minor programming issues.
Qualifications:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in operating a Mazak laser within a manufacturing setting.
- Skilled in using measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and adjust laser programs as necessary.
- Familiarity with metal fabrication principles.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Capable of following detailed instructions to accomplish tasks.
- Knowledge of machine setup procedures for laser operations.
Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour.
