Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical staff.
Responsibilities- Preparation and Support: Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
- Patient Care: Assist patients with preparation for physician visits and examinations, take vital signs, and record medical chart information.
- Equipment and Testing: Understand and operate special equipment, perform EKG, PFT, Audiometry, Titmus Test, UDS, BAT, Phlebotomy, and other lab testing as needed.
- Record Keeping and Administration: Maintain accurate patient records, file reports, and assist with collections and billing procedures.
- Technology and Confidentiality: Utilize computer software to maintain office systems and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to deliver personalized care and support.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant program graduate preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent certification required; AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification preferred.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and knowledge of computerized processes and data entry procedures.
