Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machining Specialist with experience in operating 3-axis vertical machining centers. The ideal candidate will be adept at interpreting solid models, technical drawings, and engineering sketches to manufacture a diverse range of prototype and production components.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate 3-axis vertical machining centers equipped with Fida or Fanuc controllers.
- Accurately read and interpret technical mechanical drawings, including sectional views, part notes, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
- Program CNC machines using Worknc Software and select appropriate tooling and cutters.
- Work with various materials, including aluminum, steel, and graphite.
- Ensure efficient machine operation and promote a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a machinist/programmer in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of milling and cutting processes, along with a comprehensive knowledge of common machine shop tools.
- Proficient in reading, understanding, and creating technical mechanical drawings, including orthographic projections and sectional views.
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work assigned hours and overtime as required.
- Effective communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Work Environment

- Climate-controlled workspace year-round.
- Adherence to safe manufacturing practices is mandatory, including the use of protective eyewear.
- Potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations.
- Moderate noise levels.
- Physical requirements include the ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as the ability to lift and move up to 35 lbs, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
