Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster effective collaboration with physicians, healthcare professionals, patients' families, and nursing staff.
  • Oversee and coordinate services within assigned units to cultivate a supportive and positive environment for patient care.
  • Conduct regular rounds on nursing units, engaging with both licensed and non-licensed staff, monitoring acutely ill patients, and welcoming new admissions.
  • Encourage a team-oriented atmosphere that enhances the quality of care and overall patient experience.
  • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in assessments and care planning, particularly during changes in patient conditions, while ensuring necessary supplies and medications are accessible.
  • Facilitate effective communication between licensed nurses and healthcare providers, responsible parties, or external vendors to promptly address patient care needs.
  • Respond to emergencies with appropriate measures and ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained across all assigned units.

Qualifications:

  • License: Valid Registered Nurse License in the State of Missouri or a qualified compact license.
  • Current CPR certification and ability to obtain SAMA certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience in inpatient mental health settings and one year of supervisory experience.
