Job Overview

Grant Veterinary Services, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our surgical program, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional medical care to our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality medical services, including surgical procedures and dental care, to animals in our care.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and client service representatives to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Administer injections, subcutaneous fluids, and monitor vital signs of sedated and anesthetized patients.
  • Assist with patient exams, take medical history, and prepare medications for patient discharge.
  • Operate and maintain anesthetic machines, pulse oximeters, scales, and other equipment.
  • Participate in cleaning and disinfecting animal areas, equipment, and facilities to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ year of experience in high-volume spay/neuter or shelter medicine preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Excellent animal handling skills and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong interest in animal welfare and serving the community.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
