Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Answering call lights and responding to resident needs
• Ensuring all nursing care is provided in a private and respectful manner
• Making residents comfortable and assisting with daily grooming and hygiene
• Assisting with feeding and mobility, including lifting and transferring residents as needed
• Reporting any changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor
• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA standards
• Following facility policies and procedures, including infection control and occupational exposure protocols

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of CNA training from an accredited school
• Valid CNA certificate
• Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
• Basic computer skills and ability to use a tablet for resident data entry

Working Conditions

• May encounter frequent interruptions and work in a fast-paced environment
• May be involved with residents, family, and government agencies
• May be required to work beyond scheduled hours and be subject to call-back during emergency conditions
• May be exposed to odors, dust, disinfectants, and other environmental hazards

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the day and work in various nursing areas
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and require assistance for heavier lifting
• Ability to read fine print and medical labels
