Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Prepared Foods Team Member to join our team at Metropolitan Market. As a key member of our Prepared Foods Department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring that our customers have an outstanding shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, answering questions and making recommendations on our prepared foods offerings
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the self-serve areas and back room
* Restock and replenish products as needed to ensure that our shelves are fully stocked and visually appealing
* Participate in product promotions and events to drive sales and increase customer engagement
* Collaborate with the Leadership Team to develop and maintain product displays that create an exciting marketplace

Requirements

* 1 year of customer service experience and 1 year of food service experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality output while working within deadlines
* Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of food, including ingredients, applications, pronunciations, and culinary skills
* Knowledge of food safety, HACCP/Department of Health guidelines, inventory and portion control, and experience in merchandising product
