Telecommunications Systems Specialist

**Overview of the Role**

As a Telecommunications Systems Specialist with ViaPath, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our telecommunication services. Reporting directly to the Field Service Manager, you will work independently and with minimal supervision to provide top-notch service to our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Serve as a liaison between ViaPath and customers, embodying our commitment to "Service Excellence"
- Ensure seamless service delivery for all ViaPath products at designated customer sites, providing assistance whenever needed
- Effectively prioritize and plan service calls to meet customer needs
- Maintain open lines of communication with customers regarding service call updates
- Escalate issues promptly when necessary
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional interactions
- Serve as the primary point of contact for FACILITY staff regarding customer account issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as replacing hardware and network components, as well as basic troubleshooting
- Administer kiosk services, handle bill/paper jams, and deposit funds at designated financial institutions
- Conduct thorough troubleshooting, including identifying problems, collecting data, and drawing valid conclusions
- Troubleshoot wiring issues, including tracing and repairing damaged wiring
- Participate in special projects as assigned by the Field Service Manager

**Requirements and Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2-4 years of experience in a related field
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
- Proficiency in Windows OS, MS Office, and other relevant software
- Familiarity with telephony and networking, including copper, CAT 5/6, and fiber optic wiring
- Knowledge of wiring color codes and data cabling fabrication
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance occasionally
- A valid driver's license, with a willingness and ability to travel to various customer sites daily, potentially including overnight trips
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on maintaining a positive work environment

**Compensation and Benefits**

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, a retirement plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
