Role Responsibilities

The Finishing Associate plays a crucial role in the assembly of converting tools, including strip sets and guillotine tooling, while also providing support across various manufacturing departments.

Key Duties Include:

  • Utilizing woodworking tools such as routers and sanding equipment, along with air vacuum systems.
  • Assembling proprietary products from pre-cut materials with precision.
  • Interpreting blueprints and CAD files to accurately construct custom tools.
  • Handling and lifting wood and metal components as required.
  • Maintaining stamina to stand for extended periods and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Performing repetitive tasks with strong finger dexterity.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of departmental equipment.
  • Employing safety equipment relevant to the tasks at hand.
  • Organizing and prioritizing assigned tasks for efficient completion, both independently and collaboratively.
  • Completing necessary paperwork for personal time sheets promptly.
  • Participating in cross-training initiatives and supporting other production departments.
  • Accurately pulling materials for various departments.
  • Maintaining and organizing the warehouse area as directed by management.
  • Executing additional duties as assigned by management, focusing on warehouse, finishing, and production areas.
  • Handling all Marbach and customer information with confidentiality.
  • Reporting any issues to supervisors that may impact the company's ability to meet customer needs.
  • Being aware of potential hazards, including sharp objects, fumes, and elevated noise levels.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to lift over 80 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods while performing repetitive motions.
  • Adaptability to a changing work environment.
  • Willingness to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Carpentry skills.
  • Understanding of metric conversions.
  • Experience with woodworking tools.
