Supervision:
This position does not have any direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Under close supervision, the Store Worker is responsible for stocking and maintaining cleanliness at a retail location, primarily focused on the resale of goods. The role involves using non-motorized equipment to manage merchandise intended for display and resale, ensuring proper placement according to established guidelines.
Typical Duties Include:
1. Stocking merchandise on shelves.
2. Rearranging misplaced items.
3. Removing excess and damaged products, debris, and packaging materials.
4. Organizing merchandise for an appealing and marketable presentation.
5. Rotating stock to ensure freshness and compliance with sale dates.
6. Disposing of damaged or outdated items.
7. Returning surplus stock to storage.
8. Cleaning and dusting shelves and display fixtures using standard retail practices.
9. Performing both wet and dry cleaning tasks.
10. Providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with product location and selection.
11. Operating manual pallet jacks and flat-bed carts as needed.
12. Completing additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Essential Functions:
All tasks marked with an asterisk (*) are considered essential job functions.
Qualifications:
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to structured processes.
• Proficiency in using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes and varying tasks.
• Availability for evening shifts.
• Basic math skills for reporting quantities and stock placement.
• Capability to interpret stock and shelf labels, as well as date codes for effective stock rotation.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with management, colleagues, customers, and vendors while demonstrating excellent customer service.
• Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.

No specific educational requirements.
Certificates:
Licenses or certifications may be required based on local, state, or contract stipulations.
Physical Demands:
Employees must be able to perform the following physical tasks for extended periods, with or without assistance:
• Maneuvering within the retail environment.
• Bending, crouching, kneeling, and reaching.
• Lifting and carrying items up to 25 pounds.
• Pulling and pushing loads up to 75 pounds.
• Grasping both small and large objects.
• Climbing or standing on ladders and step stools.
• Coordinating skills for product placement and rotation.
Work Environment:
The work is conducted in a retail, warehouse, or distribution setting, which may involve exposure to noise from equipment and varying weather conditions.
