Key Responsibilities:- Implement physical therapy treatment plans developed by physical therapists to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.
- Administer various physical therapy modalities, including manual exercises, massage, and electrical modalities, to patients.
- Accurately document patient progress and submit clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
- Participate in educational meetings and contribute to department in-services to stay up-to-date on best practices.
- Notify physical therapists or the Executive Director of any equipment failures, supply shortages, or staff/client changes.
- Schedule clients and perform various administrative tasks to ensure seamless operations.
- Apply infection control and universal precautions to maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Accept clinical assignments that align with your education and competence to provide high-quality care.
- Promote compliance with fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education and coaching.
- Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-accredited program.
- Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
- Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Proof of current CPR certification.
- Minimum two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of geriatric population changes.
- Self-directed, enthusiastic, and open to constructive feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional image and attitude when interacting with patients, families, clients, coworkers, and others.
- Maintain clinical competency and meet mandatory continuing education requirements.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain current licensure certifications and meet mandatory continuing education requirements.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Good and regular attendance.
