Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Analyst to join our team. As a System Analyst, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our computer systems and applications, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support for Mainframe, Windows, and UNIX systems computing environments
  • Install and upgrade operating systems and software, as well as configure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Develop and implement system specifications, conduct analysis, and evaluate software packages
  • Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced technicians
  • Interface with the user community to understand their security needs and implement procedures to accommodate them
  • Monitor and respond to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems
  • Provide primary interface with vendor support service groups or provide internal analysis and support to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field
  • Basic related experience in Mainframe, Windows, or UNIX operating systems support and analysis
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
