Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Cook/Food Truck Driver to join our team at the Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County. As a key member of our Youth Development team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving food to our youth members, while also driving our food truck to various locations throughout the county.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve food to our youth members, ensuring that all meals meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Food Truck Operations: Drive our food truck to various locations throughout the county, setting up and breaking down the truck as needed.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe food preparation and service environment, adhering to all applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to our youth members and their families, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in food preparation and service, as well as driving and operating a food truck.
  • Certifications: SERV Safe Manager Food Safety Certification required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality food and service to our youth members.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position involves standing, walking, and lifting, as well as extended periods of driving and operating a food truck.
