Production Supervisor Job Summary

Sunny Sky Products is a leading aseptic beverage manufacturer seeking a Production Supervisor to lead our production team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety, quality, and production in the plant for an assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and direct production, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping teams
  • Manage self and others assertively with attention to detail and a sense of urgency
  • Maintain a safe working environment and safety records
  • Ensure full compliance and execution of food safety and food quality programs
  • Coordinate production schedules and collaborate with peers across all shifts
  • Lead attainment of Key Performance Indicators, KPIs
  • Communicate pertinent information to management
  • Lead the execution and attainment of Manufacturing Excellence regarding Safety, Quality, Productivity/Cost Performance, Service, Employee Morale, and Lean Manufacturing
  • Coordinate training of team members
  • Assist in the selection, qualification, and evaluation of associates
  • Conduct daily area inspections of plant floor operations
  • Communicate progress on production goals to the workforce regularly
  • Ensure compliance with the organization's policies and procedures
  • Assess work performance of associates to ensure expectations are met
  • Drive daily accountability
  • Provide leadership and direction to department team members
  • Identify and analyze problems, and create and implement solutions
  • Seek to understand root causes and drive a culture of continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • College degree or equivalent experience in food and manufacturing environments
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to handle multiple functions at one time in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven leadership experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Team Player with demonstrated team leadership
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
  • Proficient in Lean Manufacturing preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Overall knowledge of plant operations
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to move and lift up to 50 lbs., sometimes for a consistent period
