Maintenance Coordinator

Klein Transportation is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Scheduler & Parts Specialist to maintain maintenance work productivity through service scheduling, parts inventory control, and warranty processing.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be proficient with computers and common applications, and have the ability to quickly learn vehicle maintenance software systems. A CDL with passenger endorsement or the willingness to obtain one is preferred.
The Service Scheduler & Parts Specialist will be responsible for:
- Using our Software System to retrieve required maintenance due lists and create work orders.
- Accurately screening, categorizing, and transferring all defects into the system, creating work orders for the defects.
- Communicating with Shop Foreman and Dispatch to schedule vehicles for service and repairs, updating dispatch regarding any extra time required to perform the tasks assigned to the vehicle.
- Effectively shopping for parts and supplies to maintain targeted inventory levels, balancing cost and availability and quality.
- Maintaining a clean and well-stocked parts room.
- Potentially joining an on-call rotation group for maintenance questions and support.
- Performing other job-related duties in the area of responsibility as assigned.
- Assisting with smaller repair jobs on vehicles to keep technicians free for larger, more time-consuming jobs, ensuring the fleet remains safe and compliant.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
The employee will perform job duties in a manufacturing environment and must be comfortable with daily exposure to noise, dust, and variation in temperature. They will be required to lift, stack, push, or pull boxes weighing up to 50 lbs, and frequently bend, stoop, twist, and turn while performing parts inventory responsibilities.
Accountable to the Maintenance Manager/President, the Service Scheduler & Parts Specialist will communicate with Dispatch and Shop Foreman to ensure seamless operations.
