Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable individual to fill the role of Facilities Support Technician, tasked with overseeing work orders, fixtures, and construction initiatives. This position involves collaboration with various department leaders to address work order needs and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with different departments to address production and construction requirements.
- Assist with both pre-event and post-event construction activities, including maintenance and repair tasks.
- Perform duties outdoors in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Alignment with the core values of the State Fair of Texas.
- Familiarity with construction practices and methodologies.
- Knowledge of building standards and regulations applicable to the organization.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and municipal codes.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- Previous experience in maintenance roles.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Licensing Requirements
- Possession of a Texas driver's license or the capability to obtain one.
Supervisory Structure
- Reports directly to the Fairtime Operations Supervisor.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Work Environment
- Outdoor responsibilities in diverse weather conditions and terrains.
- Physical demands include mobility and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Work hours may vary based on event requirements.
