About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Prisma Health. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with examinations, procedures, and other activities related to direct patient care.
- Coordinate patient appointments for diagnostic testing, consults, referrals, and admission to the hospital.
- Monitor and maintain stock of medical supplies and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Document patient vital statistics and other encounter data into the patient chart and ensure all required records are in the chart.
- Obtain brief medical history and chief complaint from patients.
- Call in prescriptions for patients according to physician order.
- Promote positive health behaviors and self-care skills through patient education.
- Prepare exam rooms with appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Receive and return clinically related telephone calls, screening and forwarding those requiring physician action.
- Complete medical/physical history forms and other related information for insurance companies.
- Inform physicians of changes in schedule.
Requirements
Completion of a LPN program recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing.
No experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed to practice as a LPN in South Carolina.
In lieu of completion of a LPN program, will accept program equivalency recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing.
Work Environment
This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Work Schedule
Day shift, Monday through Friday.
Location
Blue Ridge Ortho - Easley.
