Automotive Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at Bayou CDJR. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Vehicle Repair and Maintenance: Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnostic and Testing: Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- System Repair and Maintenance: Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
- Inspections and Recommendations: Conduct multi-point inspections to make appropriate recommendations to ensure safety and reliability of Customer vehicles.
- Warranty Repairs: Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Documentation and Communication: Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order and communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed.
- Parts Management: Work with the Parts Department to ensure the correct parts are ordered and timeline of when they will be received.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Driving Record and License: Safe driving record & valid in-state driver's license.
- Certification: Applicants must maintain their Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification.
- Experience: 1+ years experience as an automotive technician.
- Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance, fast, eager learner and team player, computer skills and willingness to learn new technologies, ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment, excellent organizational and customer service skills.
