Job Summary
USPI is seeking a skilled Operating Room Scrub Tech to join our team at North Campus Surgery Center. As a valued member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, you will scrub for surgical procedures and demonstrate competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team.
- Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures.
- Support and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Collaborate with staff, patients, and physicians to ensure seamless communication and care.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program.
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed.
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills.
