Job Summary

Oceaneering is seeking a skilled Project Systems Engineer to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. In this role, you will apply your expertise in systems engineering to guide and support our innovative engineering and design activities under the direction of a Design Engineering Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive systems engineering documentation, including concepts of operations, requirements specifications, interface control documents, drawings, hazard analyses, and test plans and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with other Oceaneering personnel and our customers to ensure that our engineering efforts align with customer requirements.
  • Perform analysis of user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
  • Guide and perform system development and implementation planning through traditional preparation of concept of operations, interface control documents, hazard analysis, and test plans and procedures.
  • Guide and perform system development and implementation planning through Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) methods to include requirement, structure and behavior diagrams, simulation and demonstrate traceability though elements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
  • Master's degree in systems Engineering preferred.
  • Work experience with US Department of Defense is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in Systems Engineering.
