Job Summary

The Capital Project Manager is a key member of the Facilities Planning Team at Fredonia State University of New York. This role is responsible for the management of design and construction processes for capital and select renovation, rehab, and repair projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the design and construction process for capital and select renovation, rehab, and repair projects, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with campus stakeholders, State University Construction Fund, and consultants to execute design and construction projects.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation plans.
  • Ensure timely and within-budget project delivery, while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including university administrators, faculty, and staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management, engineering, or architecture.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in capital project management, design, or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
