We are currently looking for dedicated individuals to fill the

Sanitation Worker role.

About the Department:

The Sanitation Division is responsible for the effective collection of waste from both residential and commercial clients.

This includes the removal of refuse, yard debris, and oversized items for Huntsville's residential waste management.


Position Overview:


This role involves physical labor in the collection of household waste, refuse, and various solid materials, utilizing containers, bags, and bins.

The job entails frequent heavy lifting and occasional exposure to inclement weather.

Work is conducted as part of a team assigned to a collection vehicle and under the general oversight of a crew leader.


Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience in physically demanding work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the following: Familiarity with refuse and waste collection methods.
