About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team at PACS Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist, ensuring a high level of care and attention to detail.
  • Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes, adhering to OT Board and governmental requirements.
  • Assist nursing department with training of Restorative Aides, promoting a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
  • Participate in in-services training program for other staff, enhancing knowledge and skills.
  • Record evaluations, daily treatment notes, weekly progress notes, recertification documentation, and treatment changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Instruct patient's families or nursing staff in maintenance programs and caregiver training, preparing patients for discharge.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas, promoting a safe and healthy environment.
  • Report any problems with department equipment, ensuring it is maintained in good working order.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients, families, staff, and professional colleagues, fostering a positive and supportive team culture.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a valid Occupational Therapist Assistant - License and a strong ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with patients, families, staff, and professional colleagues.
