We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Bus Chaperone to join our team at the AZ State School for the Deaf and Blind. As a Chaperone, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students during bus transportation.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure students are safely seated throughout the bus route
- Maintain appropriate student behavior
- Work with parents and staff to provide individualized support
- Policies and procedures of the immediate work unit
- Principles and practices of administration and management
- Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
- Proper lifting procedures
- Working with sensory impaired children
- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in a word-related document
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires pre-employment drug testing and random drug testing during employment. The successful candidate must also be able to pass a post-offer physical and obtain CIT, CPR, and First Aid certification.
