About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Patient Access Manager to join our team at Neurocrine Biosciences. In this role, you will be responsible for providing crucial support services and education to Healthcare Professionals, Specialty Pharmacies, and Closed Door Pharmacies. You will have the opportunity to maximize patient access to our products and ensure efficient distribution network operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Build and sustain relationships with pharmacies, physicians, and their office staff to help resolve coverage problems for written prescriptions.
  2. Work cross-functionally with field sales leadership, commercial analytics, and operations to support patient access with specific payers.
  3. Provide training and education to Healthcare Professionals on payor-specific coverage policies and documentation requirements.
  4. Introduce technology options for electronic patient access submission and explain payer criteria, forms, processes, and appeals.
  5. Communicate effectively and compliantly with field sales, corporate office employees, and Healthcare Professionals to identify and resolve coverage and patient access issues.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in a related field and 6+ years of pharma/biotech commercial experience, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of specialty pharmacies, managed care, pharmacy benefit managers, and government payers.
  • Excellent working knowledge of patient support programs, reimbursement support, and financial assistance adherence programs.
  • Ability to communicate payer coverage criteria and prior authorization processes.
