Material Handler

UNFI is seeking a skilled Warehouse Loader to join our Logistics Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading products from trucks and pallets.

• Attend start-up meetings and receive assignments and vehicle inspection sheets.
• Operate equipment only after receiving proper certification.
• Follow preferred methods for replenishing pick slots, clearing receiving docks, and verifying product placement.
• Remove plastic from pallets and keep the work area clean and free of debris.
• Operate the lift in a safe and efficient manner and park and recharge it at the end of the shift.
• Report any potential safety violations or company policy infractions to supervisors or managers.

• Meet operating standards and procedures, including quality and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Meet deadlines and provide assistance and support as needed.

• Required Knowledge: Understanding of safety guidelines and RF systems.
• Experience: Warehouse/Operations preferred but not required.
• Skills/Abilities: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with standardized situations.
• Able to read and communicate in English.
