Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and responsible individual to join our team as a Part-Time Bus Monitor at KIPP Nashville Public Schools. As a Bus Monitor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students during bus rides.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and Greet: Welcome visitors, staff, and students with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Student Supervision: Ensure all students are seated, silent, and respectful throughout bus rides.
  • Disciplinary Support: Communicate disciplinary issues to the Dean of Students in a timely and professional manner.
  • Relationship Building: Foster positive and meaningful relationships with students and staff.
  • Bus Driver Support: Assist the bus driver as directed to ensure a safe and smooth ride.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as required or assigned to support the success of our students.
Requirements
  • Experience: Holds successful experience working with elementary and/or middle school aged children.
  • Attitude: Demonstrates a mature, calm, and responsible attitude in dealing with students and has the ability to work cooperatively with other employees and the general public.
  • Communication Skills: Has considerable ability to communicate effectively (both orally and written) and to follow both oral and written instructions.
