About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering critical systems that enable the manufacturing and testing of our space systems.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify business problems and generate ideas to solve novel problems.
  • Employ the latest research and industry standard methodologies in problem domain to craft innovative and repeatable solutions.
  • Proactively engage with federated development teams to provide tactically useful input.
  • Define and maintain reference architectures and design patterns to accelerate new architectures, designs, and implementations.
  • Solution, implement, and operationalize new COTS and custom software capabilities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years software architecture experience, including cloud native scalable distributed systems.
  • Firsthand experience making architectural decisions and supporting evolving customer needs within the architectures delivered.
  • Demonstrable experience with microservices-based solution design, delivery, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience designing modern manufacturing and smart factory systems.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Aerospace, Mechanical, or a related field.
  • Manufacturing and/or Aerospace industry experience.
  • Safety Critical Systems design/development experience.
  • Experience with sophisticated Manufacturing and Testing Operations.
