About the Role:

Eating Disorder Technician at Center For Discovery

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Eating Disorder Technician to join our treatment team. As an Eating Disorder Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting patients through their treatment experience, from admission to discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Patient Safety: Assist patients with daily activities, such as waking routines, morning hygiene, meals, nighttime routine, and bathroom observations.
  • Provide Milieu Management: Communicate effectively with team members and provide support to patients in a therapeutic environment.
  • Facilitate Psychoeducational Groups: Lead groups for the expected length of time identified in the program schedule.
  • Document Patient Progress: Accurately document patient progress on a daily basis.
  • Communicate with Families/Loved Ones: Effectively communicate with families/loved ones, as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or mental health setting preferred.
  • Ability to work part-time, Tuesday-Friday and Saturday, 2-10pm.
