Assembler Control Cable Specialist

Job Summary: As a skilled Assembler Control Cable Specialist at Txtav, you will play a crucial role in efficiently performing control cable assembly operations. This position requires attention to detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work under supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate cable cutters, swaging machines, and cable proof loading machines to crimp, stake, and swage fittings onto control cables according to standard shop practices.
- Set up and change swaging machine dies, and adjust swaging and cable machine pressures to ensure proper cable assembly.
- Examine cables after proof load for loose fittings and broken strands, and print and install heat shrink labels.
- Mark and bundle cable assemblies as required, and maintain the quality of your work.
- Perform other related duties as required to support the team.
Requirements:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum of three (3) months assembly or machine shop experience.
- Ability to interpret simple drawings, apply arithmetic, and use measuring instruments such as micrometers and scales.
Working Conditions: This role requires working in a somewhat disagreeable environment due to dirt and high noise levels from swaging machines.
