Dark Wolf Solutions is in search of a seasoned and motivated Information Security Engineer to provide support for the US Space Force, Space Systems Command. This role involves the operational upkeep and sustainability of ground-based radar systems that are essential for US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space monitoring missions.
In collaboration with the government client, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer, the Information Security Engineer will be tasked with meticulous planning, development, and execution of assessments for PARCS and UEWR systems and networks. The objective is to pinpoint deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policies, or local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance security architectures; incorporate new architectural features into existing infrastructures; design cybersecurity architectural documents; conduct architectural evaluations of cybersecurity elements and align current systems with future requirements and trends; provide engineering insights and resolve integration and testing challenges.
- Conduct evaluations of RMF artifacts and identify discrepancies from RMF control standards.
- Analyze and mitigate security threats and risks throughout the program's lifecycle.
- Perform assessments to validate established cybersecurity controls and requirements, recommending suitable cybersecurity measures.
- Implement stringent program control procedures to ensure risk mitigation and facilitate the assessment and authorization of systems. This includes support for processes, analysis, coordination, control certification testing, compliance documentation, investigations, software research, hardware introduction and release, emerging technology research, inspections, and periodic audits.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with over nine (9) years of experience; Master's degree with over seven (7) years of experience; PhD or JD with over four (4) years of experience.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification for IAT Level II as per DoD 8570 standards.
- Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) (Nessus / Tenable Security Center).
- Must be a US Citizen and possess a Secret security clearance with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI level.
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience in supporting Department of Defense RMF processes.
- Experience in evaluating information security compliance against STIGs.
- Familiarity with Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google GCP.
- B.A. or B.S. in Information Security or a related field.
