Your Contribution:

Pearce Services is in search of a dedicated and skilled Power Generation Technician to join our team in servicing and maintaining commercial generators across various sites. This role is dynamic and fast-paced, ideal for self-motivated individuals eager to travel and advance their careers in the telecommunications sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance on generators, troubleshoot and repair issues, and install or replace components or entire systems, including seasonal equipment upgrades.
  • Conduct performance assessments and routine maintenance on generators to ensure operational readiness, interpreting and adhering to blueprints or design specifications for installations and repairs.
  • Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, and controls, testing for optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to power and generator alarms; be available for on-call duties as needed, ensuring timely communication via phone and email.
  • Execute work with a keen awareness of potential hazards associated with power supply equipment installation and maintenance, including falls, electric shock, and traffic; utilize safety equipment and adhere to safety practices; actively participate in all designated safety and training sessions.
Note: Specific duties may evolve over time based on business and client requirements.

Essential Experience:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in generator maintenance is preferred, with at least one year of intensive work-related experience in generator and electrical maintenance software, hardware, and processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of generator installation, maintenance, and repair, along with familiarity with electronic, mechanical, and electrical components; moderate computer skills are required.
  • Basic understanding of relevant FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
Physical/Work Environment:

At Pearce Services, safety is our top priority. Candidates must comply with OSHA standards.
  • This position involves lifting over 50 pounds, as well as stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to effectively inspect and troubleshoot equipment and alarms, both visually and audibly.
  • Willingness to drive long distances and work various hours, including evenings, nights, overtime, emergency call-outs, weekends, and holidays as required; must be prepared for 24-hour on-call duty when assigned and may be away from home for extended periods.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.
Compensation: $20.00/HR to $35.00/HR DOE
