Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High Impact Tutor to join our team at Strategic Focus Educational Services. As a High Impact Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing students with the support and guidance they need to succeed in Math and ELAR.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct tutoring sessions with small groups of students using pre-defined lesson plans.
  • Provide a safe, caring, and enriching environment for students participating in our in-school and/or afterschool program.
  • Assist with supervision and engagement of students in youth development and activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the Literacy Program Supervisor to facilitate established plans for appropriate activities during literacy programming.
  • Assess students' continual progress from week to week in the program.
  • Collect work samples of student sessions per week of tutoring.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Be 18 years old and able to pass a criminal background check as a condition of employment.
  • Content knowledge of tutoring subject areas assigned.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills with all constituents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with external partners, including parents, students, and program site staff.
  • Possess ability to work in a team in various environments with minimal supervision.
