Position: Lead Engineer for Advanced Manufacturing

The Lead Engineer for Advanced Manufacturing will offer expert guidance throughout the vehicle design and development lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating product design initiatives during the conceptual engineering stage
  • Serving as a primary liaison for manufacturing feasibility approvals
  • Managing change control processes in collaboration with manufacturing partners
  • Overseeing Manufacturing Engineering personnel and working alongside cross-functional teams

Your Contributions:

  • Reporting directly to the Director of Body & Closures Engineering
  • Directing Advanced Manufacturing Engineering initiatives
  • Creating and refining manufacturing engineering methodologies and tools
  • Leading design for manufacturability (DFM) efforts
  • Ensuring that manufacturing solutions align with customer expectations and goals

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or a related field
  • Over 10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing engineering
  • In-depth knowledge of unibody manufacturing techniques
  • Familiarity with CAD and manufacturing simulation software
  • Proven experience in problem-solving and quality assurance methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher
  • Expertise in CAD and manufacturing systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Understanding of specific process capabilities
