Job Title: Project Superintendent

Location: Irving, TX

Duration: Permanent, Direct Hire

Salary Range: $80-110,000 (Based on Experience)

Job Summary:

The Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of structured cabling systems, and associated materials and equipment for small, midsize, and large ground-up projects and tenant finish projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise 2 or more network foremen or superintendents.
  • Ability and hands-on experience to supervise and perform duties of subordinates (Network Foreman and Technicians).
  • Conduct working estimates and takeoffs jointly with the Project Manager.
  • Lay out work for subordinate foremen and lead persons, and is jointly responsible with the Project Manager for having material, tools, equipment, information, and appropriate manpower in the proper place in a timely fashion.
  • Establish work schedules and man-loading charts with Project Manager.
  • Interface with representatives of the General Contractor on day-to-day project scheduling and overall performance issues.
  • Provide general supervision to subordinate foremen engaged in the installation of structured cabling installations; and related connections and terminations.
  • Monitor work as performed, direct subordinate foremen and crews, and schedule work according to the pace of the job and other trades.
  • Responsible for overall project safety performance. Ensure employees are properly trained or instructed in the performance of duties to which assigned. Ensure compliance with all Walker safety processes and protocols. Investigate or assist in investigation and reporting of any accident or safety incidents involving jobsite employees.
  • May supervise low-voltage projects with a value of $2M or larger.
Requirements:
  • Must have 8 or more years of supervising structured cabling, voice data, and security install work experience as well as demonstrated skills at the Installer and Technician levels.
  • Proven track record with large-scale Data Center projects. Hospital and Commercial experience a plus.
  • Network/structured cabling experience required. Security and AV experience a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge of Man-Loading, Scheduling, and Production Tracking.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, processes, and methods).
  • Thorough knowledge of company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures.
  • Outstanding team-building and leadership skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems before major difficulties develop.
  • Solid MS Office skills and ability/desire to learn new software.
