Responsibilities and Requirements
We are seeking an Adjunct Professor of Physics and Engineering to teach courses in-person on our campus in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with students and faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach courses in Physics and Engineering, including PHEN 3170- Systems and PHEN 3130- Engineering Thermodynamics (Lecture and Laboratory)
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
- Provide academic support and guidance to students
Desirable Qualifications:
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Prior teaching experience at the college level
- Familiarity with Canvas or similar Learning Management Systems
- Comfortable using technology to enhance teaching and learning
