Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Development Teacher to join our team at California Schools Talent Collaborative. As a Child Development Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a developmentally appropriate educational program for young children, supporting parents as their child's primary teacher, and ensuring the care and comfort of all children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement a daily program that meets the needs of individual children
  • Supervise and care for children in a child care and development program
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment
  • Implement adult learning principles and prioritize effective decision-making under pressure
  • Establish and maintain a close relationship with parents and schools in all aspects of the daily program
  • Follow all district rules and policies relating to school plant, staff, and children
Requirements
  • Hold or be eligible for a valid California Child Development Teacher Permit
  • Hold an Associate of Arts Degree in Child Development/Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • Ability to obtain and maintain current First Aid, CPR, Mandated Child Abuse Training, Integrated Pest Management certification, Water Safety, and Health & Safety certification
  • Successful experience in an Early Childhood Education program or previous experience working with children
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to implement a developmentally appropriate program for young children
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff
  • Ability to implement adult learning principles
  • Prioritize and make effective decisions under pressure
  • Demonstrate a sense of fairness and use good judgment
