Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides nursing care to patients in compliance with the Maryland Nurse Practice Act, Standards of Practice, and defined by ANA, ENA, BSBHS, and organization protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines. The nurse develops, implements, evaluates, and revises the plan of care based on the physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and educational needs of the patient/family. The nurse assesses the patient for changes that may hinder recovery and collaborates with staff, physicians, and other disciplines to provide quality care delivery.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current RN licensure with the Maryland Board of Nursing or Compact State, if resident of that state.
- Minimum 2 years of Nursing Experience specific to Emergency Services or 3-5 years of other acute care experience preferred.
- BLS required.
- ACLS within 6 months of hire.
- PALS and Hazmat within one year of hire.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing Preferred.
Unit Details:
The new Emergency Department at Grace Medical Center features 17,000 square feet of state-of-the-art design with technology and amenities for emergency care. The department includes 29 spacious, well-lit private treatment rooms, a behavioral health treatment pod, and the latest edition CT Scanner.
