Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our Neuroscience Associates-Practice Operations department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform standard and complex electroencephalographic recordings as directed, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of diagnostic results.
  • Facilitate continuity of care by effectively communicating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Prepare written documentation, including evaluation results, treatment plans, and progress reports, to ensure seamless communication with medical staff.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, prepare patients for examinations, and ensure their cooperation during procedures.
  • Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Calibrate and adjust EEG apparatus according to standard procedures and computerized EEGs.
  • Participate in the evaluation of new procedures, collecting and processing data to inform best practices.
  • Enhance professional affiliations through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, workshops, and review of current literature.
  • Attend meetings as required and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited EEG program.
  • 1 year of experience as an EEG/evoked potential technician with children.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered in at least 1 modality of the Neurodiagnostic field through ABRET.
  • CPR certification.
Work Environment

This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
