At Prisma Health, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and inspiring health in our communities. As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you'll play a vital role in our mission by performing complex electroencephalographic recordings and facilitating continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain relevant information and skillfully perform daily standard and complex EEG recordings as ordered by physicians, selecting predetermined electrode combinations and assisting medical staff during special procedures.
- Prepare written documentation, including evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, and monthly reports, and ensure timely delivery to ordering physicians.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, prepare patients for examinations, and ensure patient cooperation during procedures.
- Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards, ensuring a safe and infection-free environment.
- Calibrate and adjust EEG apparatus according to standard procedures and computerized EEGs.
- Participate in the evaluation of new procedures by collecting and processing data.
- Enhance professional affiliations through educational programs, inservice meetings, workshops, and review of current literature.
- Attend meetings as required and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree from an accredited EEG program
- 1 year of experience as an EEG/evoked potential technician with children
Certifications/Registrations/Licenses
- Registered in at least 1 modality of the Neurodiagnostic field through ABRET
- CPR certification
Work Environment
Day shift, Patewood Outpatient Center/Med Offices, 2133 Neuroscience Associates
