Job Description

We are seeking an entry-level civil engineer to join our team in the Greensboro, NC office. As a civil engineer, you will be responsible for applying professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems. You will work under the supervision of senior engineering personnel and assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports.

Responsibilities
  • Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists.
  • Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports with input and guidance from senior engineers in accordance with internal drafting procedures and guidelines.
  • Prepare complete plans and specifications to be part of construction documents.
  • Develop engineering recommendations and write technical reports.
  • Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures including spillways, dam outlet works, diversion and check structures, measurement flumes, and other various raw water infrastructure.
  • Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures.
  • Collect data and measurements in the field.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree focused in civil engineering, from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • 0-2 years of design-oriented consulting engineering.
  • Passing result on F.E. Exam.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
