Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in executing moderately complex technical and administrative tasks essential for pharmacy operations.
  • Support the dispensing process by ensuring adherence to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Conduct regular checks for expired or unusable products, ensuring proper disposal methods are followed.
  • Facilitate communication regarding pharmaceutical care and patient needs.
  • Prepare delivery documentation and assist in managing infusion-related equipment.
  • Engage in the compounding of sterile IV products, including antibiotics and TPN, following strict safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels, placing orders and logging new stock as necessary.
  • Document all activities meticulously to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maximize operational efficiency and productivity within the pharmacy environment.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Completion of a Certified Pharmacy Technician program.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy practice, particularly in home health or specialty pharmacy.
  • Current pharmacy technician certification as required by law.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with troubleshooting third-party claims is advantageous.
