Biomedical Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Technician II to join our team at GE Healthcare. As a Biomedical Technician II, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing complex biomedical equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction through Service Excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and diagnose complex biomedical equipment issues, implementing appropriate repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform planned maintenance, safety, and environmental inspections, maintaining effective customer relations and adhering to GE policies and procedures.
- Communicate technical issues to customers in an easy-to-understand manner, ensuring seamless resolution and follow-up.
- Lead, instruct, and assist technicians on basic and complex repairs, promoting efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Document all repair actions and submit reports according to schedule, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
- Manage vendors' service delivery processes, adhering to GE policies and procedures.
- Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment.
- May perform role of Site Leader, directing activities of fellow Biomedical Technicians and engaging in a more interactive customer relationship.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, and 2+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
- OR equivalent military education and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical or mechanical equipment.
- OR High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of experience servicing medical equipment.
- Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to customers in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Special Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted, and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
- Willingness to be available after hours or work a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
