Position Overview
The role of the Health Safety Environment Coordinator at ABC Technologies is pivotal in ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations within our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage EHS initiatives, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct thorough audits and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Facilitate training programs to enhance employee awareness and compliance regarding health and safety practices.
- Perform incident investigations and risk assessments to mitigate workplace hazards.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in EHS regulations and best practices to foster continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with corporate EHS teams to ensure effective communication and reporting of safety metrics.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and other software tools to manage EHS documentation and reporting.
- Travel as necessary to provide support to various facilities in need of EHS expertise.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in an EHS leadership capacity, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
- A degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Science.
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state OHS acts, policies, and regulations.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 standards.
- Demonstrated experience in auditing, incident investigation, and hazard assessment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with corporate EHS teams and stakeholders.
