We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Corporate Legal Assistant to join our dynamic and fast-paced corporate law firm. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support to our corporate lawyers, ensuring the smooth running of our office and effective case management.
Responsibilities- Calendar Management: Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling and coordination of meetings, court dates, and deadlines.
- Document Preparation: Prepare and file UCC financing statements and other ancillary documents, as well as assist in the preparation of annual reports.
- Billing and Invoicing: Handle billing matters, including the preparation of invoices and tracking payments.
- Client Support: Prepare binders for client meetings, trials, and depositions, and draft, proofread, and edit legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable legal formats and styles.
- Filing and Organization: Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system for all case files and legal documents.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; a degree in law or related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in a law firm or legal environment.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), familiarity with e-filing systems and procedures, and strong understanding of corporate law and legal terminology.
- Personal Qualities: Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
