As a Metrology Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our lab equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Performing annual calibrations and preventive maintenance on lab equipment to meet quality system requirements
  • Utilizing calibration management software for data entry, record maintenance, and report generation
  • Coordinating calibration/preventative maintenance events with laboratories
  • Evaluating equipment performance and fitness for use
  • Documenting all activities following Good Documentation Practice
  • Communicating effectively with service providers and internal teams
  • Organizing and executing equipment moves and recalibrations as needed
  • Ensuring availability of necessary supplies and equipment
  • Participating in creating calibration methods and revising standard operating procedures

**Key Qualifications:**

  • Associate's degree in a related field with 1-2 years of calibration experience
  • Proficiency in calibration management software; knowledge of Qualer and Viewpoint is a plus
  • Experience in testing, adjustments, and documentation
  • Familiarity with hand tools, electric meters, and calibration standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively
  • Basic troubleshooting skills and Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Self-motivated and capable of multitasking
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% as necessary

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform regular standing/walking
