Sign-On Bonus: $3,000 for Certified Medical Assistants

Position Summary: The Certified Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting healthcare providers and ensuring exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include performing various clinical and administrative tasks, such as administering injections, measuring vital signs, managing patient flow, and assisting with patient visits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients warmly and prepare them for examinations.
  • Accurately record vital signs in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Gather patient medical histories and document visits thoroughly.
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed.
  • Assist in minor procedures and emergencies as directed.
  • Schedule laboratory tests and provide instructions to patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and relay information to providers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in exam rooms.
  • Keep Basic Life Support (CPR) certification current.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Vaccination Requirement: Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is essential for this role. Exemptions for religious or medical reasons may be considered.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program or currently enrolled in an externship.
  • Active Medical Assistant Interim (IC) or Certified (CM) license through the Washington State Department of Health.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an outpatient care setting.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Physical and Sensory Demands:

  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to specified weights.
  • Tasks may involve bending, twisting, and repetitive movements.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in patient exam rooms and may involve working under pressure. General supervision is provided by the Practice Manager, with guidance from healthcare providers.
