Gessner Engineering is seeking a CoMET/Geotechnical Intern to assist with daily operations during the fall 2024 semester. As a Construction Materials Engineering and Testing/Geotechnical Intern, you will work closely with the Department to support their projects.
Responsibilities- Assist the team in field service requests and aid in lab testing.
- Collaborate with peers to review and provide guidance on project direction.
- Draft lab and field reports for project manager review and approval.
- Work in a team setting with department members and other design disciplines to coordinate projects.
- Provide regular project updates and forecast obstacles to the supervising project manager.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
- At least 21 years of age or older to be insurable on our auto insurance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Basic computer operation skills and familiarity with internet-based program navigation.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage numerous assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Must be available for at least two, 8 hour shifts on Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30am-4:30pm.
