Job Overview

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for the upkeep of all production and operational equipment. This role is essential to the maintenance team, providing technical assistance to colleagues on various instruments and machinery, while managing all documentation related to maintenance activities. The Maintenance Specialist will also ensure a safe working environment for all staff, authorize maintenance work orders, and create, review, and approve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both new and existing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, operational equipment, and facility systems.

· Ensure product quality through effective repair and maintenance of production and operational machinery.

· Complete both scheduled and unscheduled work orders, as well as preventative maintenance tasks, while maintaining accurate documentation.

· Develop, review, and implement preventative maintenance and repair procedures for necessary equipment.

· Assist in training plant personnel on new or modified equipment and procedures.

· Support validations and revalidations as required.

· Aid in the procurement of inventory and repair components.

· Collaborate across functions to coordinate scheduling of preventative maintenance and repairs.

· Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

· Perform additional tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

A High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in life sciences or engineering is preferred.

· A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician is required.

· A clean driving record and a valid driver's license are mandatory.

· Previous experience in a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) is highly desirable.

· Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

· Proficient in Excel, Word, and MS Project.

· Ability to read and write in English clearly and operate a computer effectively.

· Capacity to identify issues in work processes and respond to safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing.

· Ability to work in a team-oriented production or manufacturing setting, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Willingness to maintain a safe and collaborative work environment.

Compensation Information:

The pay range for this position is $35.50 per hour. Please note that salaries may vary within this range based on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
